Located in the county of Beds, the bustling town of Leighton Buzzard sits close to the county border between Bedfordshire and Bucks, beside the Grand Union Canal, Leighton Buzzard has a population of around 37,000 and a story extending back to Roman days, at which time the early Watling St (now the A-5) passed by the town. Today Leighton Buzzard is linked to the nearby town of Linslade and it is roughly halfway between Milton Keynes (Buckinghamshire) and Luton (Beds), it is located close to the Chiltern Hills and has a substantial sand quarrying industry.
