Located in the county of Bedfordshire in the East of England, the town of Leighton Buzzard is close to the boundary between Bucks and Bedfordshire, on the Grand Union Canal, it has a populace of approximately 37,000 and a past harping back to Roman days, when the ancient Watling Street (now the A-5) passed the town. Today Leighton Buzzard is more or less connected to the neighbouring town of Linslade and it's about mid-way between Milton Keynes (Buckinghamshire) and Luton (Beds), it is situated very close to the Chiltern Hills and boasts a substantial quarrying industry (sand).
